We can now offer an extended range of our high performance plastic pipework systems for the food and beverage industry following a new certification from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
The complete range of Durapipe SuperFLO ABS pipe and fittings has now been certified as FDA compliant, reassuring specifiers, contractors and end users that it is safe for use within food and beverage manufacturing processes.
Already supplying our FDA compliant C-PVC and Polyproylene (PP) pipe systems, we can now offer an extended range of approved pipe and fittings to cater for a wide variety of requirements within food and beverage applications.
SuperFLO ABS is a specially designed pipework system for low temperature fluid transportation, making it ideal for a range of applications including chilled water, potable water, low temperature cooling, secondary refrigeration and de-mineralised water. SuperFLO ABS provides a wide operational temperature range, with the system remaining ductile down to -40°C, while its lightweight properties, and quick and easy jointing technique, offer significant installation time and cost savings.
Extending its existing accreditations, the FDA compliance adds to SuperFLO ABS’ WRAS approval and inclusion in the “List of Approved Products”, as published in Regulation 31 by the DWI.
Commenting on the latest certification, our Industrial Brand Manager, Fraser Higgins, said: “We already offer a range of pipework systems for food and beverage applications, but the FDA compliance for SuperFLO ABS ensures we can now offer a certified system for any application.
“Our comprehensive range of FDA compliant pipework systems means that contractors and end clients in the food and beverage sector only need to deal with one manufacturer for all their pipework requirements, offering savings on project time and costs.”
