New fleet hits the roads

This month we are welcoming a dedicated new fleet of more than 30 specialist commercial vehicles to improve our delivery service for customers, while meeting the very latest European environmental standards.

Our parent company, Aliaxis, has introduced the fleet to service all of its UK brands, which also include our sister companies Hunter Plastics and Marley Plumbing and Drainage. The new lorries incorporate the very latest technology, while meeting the rigorous environmental requirements of Euro 6, a standard created to significantly reduce pollutants and emissions from commercial vehicles.

The vehicles incorporate state-of-the-art technology to improve visibility and performance of the fleet for drivers, while driver safety and load security of the lorries has also been significantly enhanced.

Our distribution partner, Fraikin, has supplied the vehicles inclusive of drivers and specialist fleet management and Colin Melvin, Strategic Customer Development Director at Fraikin, explains: “It is so important that the most up-to-date commercial vehicles are being deployed on our roads to guarantee driver safety, improve average vehicle economy and contribute to a greener environment. In this way, we were very happy to work closely with Aliaxis as a distribution partner to ensure we could provide a fleet that specifically met its objectives.”

Our commercial director, Mitchell Holmes, added: “The new fleet not only features the latest technology, but the striking new design has created a uniform look across the Aliaxis UK brands. This is just the latest of a number initiatives, in which we work in collaboration with other Aliaxis group companies, allowing us to share knowledge and expertise to enhance our customer offering and experience.” To celebrate our new lorries hitting the roads, we have some new 8GB lorry USB sticks to give away and will be running a range of Twitter competitions over the next few months so make sure you are following us @DurapipeUK so you don’t miss out!
