We are pleased to report that two of our plastic pipework systems have been supplied to a development of 56 new-build residential apartments in West London, Burlington Green.
After working extensively with Durapipe in the past, engineers ARNOLD JAMES used Durapipe PVC-C and SuperFLO systems, specified in sizes up to 110mm for Burlington Green.
Durapipe PVC-C was selected to supply the water to the heating and hot water services from the energy centre to the apartments, while Durapipe SuperFLO was chosen for the boosted cold water applications and to distribute cold water to the flats.
Previous good experiences of Durapipe PVC-C and Durapipe SuperFLO influenced the decision to use our systems, as ARNOLD JAMES contracts Manager, David Collins explained: “Having used Durapipe PVC-C and SuperFLO on other projects, we had already been impressed with how easy it was to handle on site and to install so it was the natural choice for us on Burlington Green.
PVC-C is a high performing pipework material that is a reliable, alternative solution to copper for hot and cold water applications. It offers excellent corrosion resistant properties meaning it is ideal for applications such as heating, and provides contractors with a safe alternative to copper that will not risk site theft and unnecessary replacement costs.
Offering a range of benefits, including corrosion free properties and wide temperature capabilities, Durapipe SuperFLO is the ideal system to carry a variety of low temperature fluids as the system operates as low as -40°C. Its lightweight material and ease of jointing makes it a quick and easy solution to install, offering significant cost savings.
With exceptional installation properties, the lightweight nature of plastic piping makes it easy to handle on site and, combined with the easy solvent welding jointing technique, which eliminates the need for any hot works, offers significant time and cost savings during the installation stage.
