Top standard apartments use 'perfect pipework'

We are pleased to report that Durapipe SuperFLO has been supplied to a development of 124 new-build residential apartments in Kingston-Upon-Thames, Surrey.

The Royal Gallery is a three-rise block of one, two and three bedroom apartments and penthouses located in the town centre. Engineers Heatmech specified the use of Durapipe SuperFLO pipework, in sizes up to 160mm.

SuperFLO was chosen for the boosted cold water applications distributing cold water from the storage tank in the basement of the building to the individual flats. It was specified for this project as it proved more cost-effective than copper pipework and offered installation benefits for Heatmech.

Heatmech owner Cathy Bell, said: “We originally specified copper pipework but found it to be very expensive and with copper thefts prevalent at the moment we needed to look for a more cost-effective solution.

“SuperFLO from Durapipe was the ideal solution as it was simple to use, speeding up the installation process in fact, it really was the perfect product to use and boasts brilliant quality. We are so impressed with Durapipe’s products that we have already specified SuperFLO on several other sites.”

With exceptional installation properties, the lightweight nature of SuperFLO makes it easy to handle on site and, combined with the easy solvent welding jointing technique, which eliminates the need for any hot works, offers significant time and cost savings during the installation stage.
