Friaphon noice-reducing drainage pipework has been specified within an apartment refurbishment in Dalston, London.

Kingsland apartments is a development comprising 33 individual one and two bedroom apartments that are being renovated to create modern and high quality accommodation in the east end of London.

As part of the refurbishment, it was necessary to upgrade the existing drainage system to create one central water tank that serves each apartment, replacing the previous individual tanks for each apartment.

Tasked with providing a high quality sound attenuated drainage system for the development was WaterTight Heating & Plumbing, a leading contractor company specialising in draining services.

WaterTight specified leading plastic pipework system Friaphon to provide the pipework solutions within the drainage system. Specified in 110mm, the contractors had originally looked to use cast iron pipework for the development but wanted a solution that would prove easier to handle on site and provide a quick and simple installation process.

Friaphon is a purpose designed pipework system with a proven track record of delivering outstanding noise reduction results, dramatically reducing drainage noise for the apartments. It is also a lower cost alternative to cast iron as it does not need to be lagged, and combining this with its push fit assembly, makes the installation process quicker and easier – making it the ideal choice for WaterTight.
