Durapipe Air-Line Xtra, our specialist compressed air distribution pipework system has been utilised within an expansion project at a UK packaging plant for a major multi-national industrial company.
The company needed to update its production activity so undertook an expansion project, which saw a refurbishment of existing production lines, as well as the installation of new equipment.
As part of the project, contractors Ellison Energy installed a new compressed air distribution ring main system to replace the existing network system. Ellison Energy selected Durapipe Air-line Xtra in sizes 50mm – 100mm to transport the compressed air from the new air dryer to the pneumatic machinery within the production lines.
Maintaining clean, uncontaminated air is crucial to the successful operation of the plant, as a machine failure due to dirty air could cost £000’s in unexpected downtime. Durapipe Air-line Xtra provided the ideal product for this job as the smooth internal bore of the product prevents scale build up to ensure the air is kept clean and uncontaminated for the lifetime of the product.

Durapipe Air-line Xtra is a purpose designed pipework system for the distribution of air that can operate up to a pressure of 12.5 bar.
